Contextualisms in Epistemology

,
Contextualism in epistemology holds to solve some of the sceptical scenarios and the riddles around cleverly disguised mules. Yet there are all kinds of contextualism. The title "Contextualisms in Epistemology" promises to cover the majority and the book really does.
The 20 essays are (with one exception) from the conference "Contextualist Approaches to Epistemology" at the University of Mainz, Germany, in September 2003. The very competent introduction by the editors, Elke Brendel and Christoph Jäger, gets the reader greedy for the real stuff, which is about to follow. The essays together with the critical follow-up assessments give an excellent overview to contextualisms in epistemology.
Contributions are by Antonia Barke, Peter Baumann, Elke Brendel, Stewart Cohen, Wayne Davis, Fred Dretske, Mylan Engel, Jr., Gerhard Ernst, Verena Gottschling, John Greco, Thomas Grundmann, Frank Hofmann, Christoph Jäger, Nikola Kompa, Dirk Koppelberg, Mark Lance, Margaret Little, Lydia Mechtenberg, Hans Rott, Bruce Russell, Gilbert Scharifi, and Michael Williams.
Everyone interested in knowledge and sceptical problems is well advised to study this collection.
