Professional Portrait Photography: Techniques and Images from Master Photographers (Pro Photo Workshop)
Lou Jacobs Jr.
The previous reviewer felt that this book wasn't strong on technique, but I'd have to beg to differ. Reading each of these chapters is like sitting down to a long lunch with the photographer. I guess it's true that you probably won't discuss specific light placement and such . . . but you'll still learn a lot about their creative approach, how they market their work, how they work with clients, and more. Those are all techniques that can make or break you in professional photography.
