Raise Winning Kids without a Fight: The Power of Personal Choice
William H. Hughes, John T. Walkup
I got this book when my son was about 9 months old. Fast forward 6 months later, the book sat on the shelf largely untouched. Then one day, he started developing mood swings...
Since my kid is still a toddler, I am starting with a clean slate. So the book serves more as a preparation for possible things to come. As such, I would've liked to see more examples and scenarios than what's presented. And information presented here isn't all encompassing, covering just the common ground. But there are enough information and strategies to start thinking about the type of parenting I should practice.
I can't speak for all, but I often struggle to keep up with toddler's needs and balance work schedules. This book gets to the point, easily worth spending little free time I have these days (i.e., while my son is asleep and I am not doing much behind house chores).
